Our e-mail service was unfortunately discontinued and as a result we have lost our entire mailing list. If you would like to continue to receive the Cornerstone by e-mail or would like to start receiving the monthly e-mail, please send a private message to me that includes your name and your e-mail address.

Please also pass the word to your fellow members, supporters and bowlers who may also have been getting the e-mail. We will resume e-mail service as quickly as possible. In the mean time, all archived and current editions of the Cornerstone can be found on the main Foundation page (click Home at the top of your screen) and look for the Cornerstone link.

Thanks to all for your continued support.
Brandy Padilla

What is the biggest complaint in your center.

One of my biggest complaints now days is really not with the center I bowl at but with the other bowlers. I have been bowling for about 30 years now and I have noticed the topic of discussion has changed. Its not no longer about striving to get that 300 games its about how many you can shoot in a year. The dimond ring that I so wanted when I first started is worth nothing anymore. The only thing that is saving bowling in my opinion is the sports leagues. Who ever thought of that idea knew what he was doing. The shot is a lot tighter and it really makes you concentrate when you bowl. I know this because you no longer have a 10 board shot to the pocket you acutally have just 2 and you have to move that shot every game.

Another question for people do you think automatic scoring has helped or killed the game and why.
WRM at Kegel - How many Members will be there?

I am curious to know how many members of this forum will be able to attend the World Ranking Masters at Kegel? Randy Pedersen asked Norm about what Brad should do. Norm said, "If it was me, I would have thrown a low friction ball down the middle of the lane in practice to create some hold. Then I would have thrown a ball with a lot of surface on the outsides to burn out a dry area."

I have all the respect in the world for Norm as a person AND as a bowler, but how do you feel about those statements that he made?

Your comments please.

Phantom

*****************

Warm-up time

Should the Pro Tour let the Pros burn the pattern to suit themselves on the TV show? :hehe:
