The WIBC Queens and Senior Queens bring together, annually, the top female bowlers from around the world, and the bowlers compete for a total prize fund of over $100,000.

The WIBC Queens is open to all WIBC members in the amateur and professional status. The WIBC Senior Queens is open to all WIBC members from the age of 55 and older.

Participants bowl two five-game rounds of qualifying with the field cut to the top 25 percent. Five more games of qualifying complete the process with the top 63 bowlers, plus the defending Queen's champion, seeded into a 64-women three-game double-elimination bracket format. The tournament concludes with the top five bowlers, four from the winners brackets and the contenders bracket champion, to face off in a stepladder finals format.

Last year, seven-time Professional Women's Bowling Association winner Marianne DiRupo, Succasunna , New Jersey won the Queens tournament at Northrock Lanes in Wichita, Kansas.

Marianne DiRupo with award check

Marianne DiRupo accepting the trophy

(Pictures provided by WIBC)
